Locko makes life better

Locko-Bank, founded in 1994, is a universal commercial bank. The head office is located in Moscow.

The name of the bank derives from the English word “lock.” This notion reflects one of the bank’s main values, which is the reliable protection and security of customers’ money. 

Locko-Bank has high credit ratings assigned by reputable Russian agencies: A-(RU) from ACRA and A–|ru| from the National Rating Agency. The outlook on the ratings is "stable." Since 2004, the bank has been a member of the deposit insurance system and, since 2014, has been an agent bank of the Deposit Insurance Agency for insurance indemnity payments to depositors of other banks. The aforementioned provides customers with an additional guarantee of private deposits safety.

According to Interfax-100, Locko-Bank is ranked among the top-40 banks by equity capital and the top-50 by total assets in Q1 2025. In accordance with the rankings published by the newspaper “Kommersant”, Locko-Bank holds positions in the top-10 most efficient banks and the top-15 most profitable banks as of October 1, 2023. It is also listed among the top-15 best Russian banks for millionaires according to “Forbes” magazine.

Locko-Bank has been actively investing in digital services and expanding the geography of remote customer service coverage. Continuous improvement of products and services, increasing the attractiveness of daily banking services, the development of technological infrastructure, and the expansion of the digital segment are the bank’s key priorities.

The Bank’s corporate affairs are governed by its Charter, internal regulations — including the corporate governance code — and the laws applicable to banks and companies registered in the Russian Federation.
The Bank undertook a reorganization to enhance its corporate governance standards and increase transparency and investment appeal following its participation in an International Financial Corporation (IFC) program aimed at improving corporate governance practices in the Russian banking sector. As a result, the Bank was awarded the title of "Leading Bank in Corporate Governance in Central and Eastern Europe 2008" by Euromoney magazine, recognizing its initiatives to improve corporate governance.
The Bank adheres to all major corporate governance principles, and its governance procedures are continuously refined under the guidance of its institutional investors. In 2005, the Bank participated in the IFC’s corporate governance project, achieving the following results:

	<li>The Bank was reorganized from a limited liability company into a closed joint-stock company.</li>
	<li>The Bank’s charter was amended to reflect commonly accepted corporate governance principles.</li>
	<li>There was a change in the composition of the Board, as one of the shareholders who previously held the position of Chairman of the Executive Board renounced his position, and an independent individual was appointed in his place.</li>
	<li>The Bank adopted a Corporate Governance Code at the General Shareholders Meeting held on May 18, 2007.</li>
