LOCKO-Bank entered the TOP-45 banks in terms of deposits: RIA Rating

LOCKO-Bank became one of the largest Russian banks in terms of deposits, taking 42nd place in the rating of the RIA Rating agency as of 24.11.2020. In the third quarter, the bank's deposits amounted to RUB 56.4 bn.

According to the research results, the Russian banking sector showed high growth rates in terms of deposit dynamics in the third quarter. Almost all of the increase was due to currency revaluation. According to the Bank of Russia, in nominal terms, the increase in deposits was at +3.2%, which was the largest quarterly increase in 2020.

RIA Rating analysts expect that in the IV quarter, the real rate of growth of deposits will be higher due to the factor of the 13th salary. It should be noted that in some years the last quarter was characterized by growth rates of more than 10%. This year, due to the coronavirus and negative trends in the economy in October-December, we should not expect relevant figures.

The rating presents data on 327 banks in Russia, which raise funds from the public and for which reports have been published on the website of the Central Bank of Russia. The rating methodology involves the aggregation of data from banks' turnover statements.
