LOCKO-Bank received award for active participation in foreign trade financing of EBRD.

LOCKO-Bank took part in an annual meeting of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Astana (Kazakhstan) on May 20-21 2011.

EBRD is a key international partner of LOCKO-Bank in a number of business areas and products including Trade Facilitation Programme. This enables the Bank to offer profitable and convenient solutions for funding the deliveries of goods and equipment from various regions of the world. LOCKO-Bank received an award as the most active participant of TFP with Taiwan based on 2010 results. This is an evidence of growing business with the countries of South-East Asia. In 2010 EBRD accomplished 489 deals within TFP in Russia, including 47 with LOCKO-Bank and one of them was included in the presentation on the implementation of the Program in 2010. According to EBRR representatives the cooperation with LOCKO-Bank fully meets the goals of TFP on offering more opportunities for foreign trade funding to SME segment.

At the meeting with the management of Financial Institutions Department of EBRD LOCKO-Bank representatives discussed the ongoing cooperation as well as opportunities for its further development. LOCKO-Band had over twenty bilateral meetings with representatives of international banks and investors, both current and potential counteragents. They discussed the cooperation prospects including the increase of limits on foreign trade funding, the increase of the types of transactions and the number of products.

Annual EBRD meetings are attended by the members of the Board of Governors of the Bank - government ministers and other high ranking officials representing the countries and organisations - the members of EBRD. The governors discuss EBRR participation in economic recovery of the region and set strategic areas of EBRD activities for the coming year. The meetings of the Board of Governors are held together with Business Forum program. This year the forum's motto was "Markets Support - Meeting of Asia and Europe".
